Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy

Verifying your identity keeps our trader community safe and lets us pay out profit share to the right person, on time.

Why we ask for KYC

KYC (Know Your Customer) helps us confirm that you are who you say you are, that you are eligible to use SkaleFunding, and that we are paying profit share to the correct person. It also helps us meet our AML obligations.

When KYC is required

  • Before your first payout on a funded account.
  • Whenever we upgrade your account size or profit share tier.
  • If our monitoring flags any account activity that needs verification.

You can complete verification at any time from your dashboard to avoid delays on your first payout.

What you need to submit

  • A clear photo of a government-issued ID (passport, national ID card, or driving licence) โ€” both sides for cards.
  • Proof of address issued within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, or official government letter).
  • A short live selfie / video (usually 5โ€“10 seconds) for biometric matching against your ID.

All documents must be legible, uncropped, and in your own name. Screenshots and edited images will be rejected.

How long verification takes

Most submissions are reviewed within 24 business hours. Complex cases (documents in less common languages, name changes, mismatched addresses) can take a little longer and our KYC team will contact you directly if extra information is needed.

How we protect your KYC data

All documents are uploaded over an encrypted (TLS) connection and stored by our licensed identity-verification provider. Access is limited to trained compliance staff on a need-to-know basis and every access is logged.

We keep KYC records only for the period required by AML and tax laws (typically 5โ€“7 years after your account is closed) and then delete them.

If your KYC is rejected

If we cannot verify your identity, we will let you know why and how to fix it. You can re-submit corrected documents. Repeated failures may result in a refund of any refundable fees and closure of the account.
